Dr. Gabriel Luque is Assistant Professor of the University of Málaga, Spain. He got his Ph.D degree on the designing of parallel metaheuristics to solve complex real-world problems. He is currently
working on the design of new metaheuristics, specifically on parallel algorithms, and their application to complex problems in
the domains of bioinformatics, natural language processing, and combinatorial optimization in general.
Dr. Luque has published several chapters in seminal books on parallelism and metaheuristic techniques, 6 papers in impact journals, and several conference papers. He is member of several national and international research projects in the past. Some of the active projects are OPLINK and INRIA-PERFOM.
